The company was founded in 1972 when Goliardo and Franco Lazzeri together managed to combine the Italian style to the tradition and to the craft passion. The company was initially specialized exclusively in the production of shearling and Lapin (anagram of the name Nipal).
The secret of NIPAL success is guaranteed by the combination of experienced craftsmen’ s skills and the passion and believe of the management. Sartorial know-how, a high quality product, the craftsmanship secrets of the Made in Italy and the creative impulse of the company to always look at the future, have always been Nipal’s fundamental characteristics.
The art of craftsmanship
In 1982 Nipal is developed by the enthusiasm and entrepreneurial skills of Roberta Lazzeri and Massimo Rocchini, daughter and son-in-law of Goliardo Lazzeri. In a few years the working group increased from 8 employees up to the current 235 (internal and external). Despite the rapid growth and the new management, the company did not stray from its basic pillar concept: the importance of a “highly crafted” production.
Nipal’s headquarter is situated in Empoli, in a strategic location in the heart of Tuscany, a few steps away from the tanneries and Florence, the Italian fashion capital par excellence.
Besides Administrative and Commercial Direction, the headquarter in Empoli includes a logistics for distribution. Most of the company’s investments are aimed at the innovation and development of technological equipment for the manufacturing of leather and textile. Nipal to better improve the quality of its products, combines the craftsmanship skills, the tradition and the passion together with modern technology.
Nipal is keeper of the brands FONTANELLI, AFG 1972, STILNOLOGY and REALI26. Nipal designs and makes leather and fabric jackets for man and woman. Creativity, imagination and personality always looking for new trends as well as the ability to anticipate patterns and to design ideas with large intuition are the key success of the company. Nipal has a unique style in fashion and Italian sportswear. The design department, place for ideas and creations, is therefore the heart of the company. In this “school of fashion” a critical attention is paid to global trends.
The stylist Francesca Fontanelli and Nipal’s staff, in collaboration with Mauro Taliani, constantly research “the new, the cool” in order to anticipate fashion and create unique garments. The attention paid to leather, fabrics, style and detail, makes the products unique.
The constant interaction between knowledge and experimentation get into a product that combines craftsmanship’s excellence and innovation.
Strategy and visibility
Nipal supports its brands through targeted promotional activities. The communication strategy, in fact, provides in addition to the traditional advertising plans on national and international newspapers
In 2010 NIPAL opens his first showroom in Milan in Via Santa Tecla . Some years later the location of the showroom has been changed.
Now Nipal can show the new collections in the show room in Via Della Spiga 3 , in the famous Quadrilatero della Moda in Milan and in major trade shows such as Pitti Immagine Uomo,CPM Mosca, HKFF Hong Kong, Moda Italia Tokyo, La Moda Italiana a Seoul, Supreme Dusseldorf.
